Pipilotti Rist, Ever is Over All (1997)

Ever is Over All (1997) is a video performance by Pipilotti Rist that took place in New York City. The video is done in slow motion and consists of a woman walking down the sidewalk of a city block with a three-foot long metal pole. The metal pole resembles a tropical flower. The woman casually strolls down the sidewalk and uses the metal flower to smash in the passenger window of cars parked on the street. The sound consists of seemingly innocent humming juxtaposed with the loud smashing of glass.
